About Me
I was born around 1983, so I am a xennial. It is not a Pokémon; click the link. On the same year, Internet and the GNU Project were created. Coincidence? I think so.
I grew up in a small town on the Alicante shore named La Vila Joiosa, known by the valor of its chocolate, my predilect addiction, and by The Landing of Moors and Christians, although I consider myself ignostic.
I obtained the title of Technical Engineer in Computer Science and Systems at the University of Alicante, and I worked as a web developer for about 9 years.
Now that I live in the province of Barcelona, I work in public high schools as a professor, specifically on courses of vocational training in the branch of Computer Science and Communications. I started the 2019-2020 course, and it turned out to be very entertaining. Some students think that I am a good teacher, others that The System should prevent people like me from teaching. Whatever the reason, their opinions vary with the grades I give to them.
I have been vegan since 2014, more or less. This philosophy tries to cause as little suffering as possible. It doesn't sound bad, don't you think? However, the students insist on offering me ham in exchange for passing the tests.
I would say that I am an imaginative person who usually has his head in the clouds. I like science fiction and fantasy, but I am turning very picky, and there are few things that catch my attention nowadays. I prefer video games with lots of story and big pixels. I am eager to teach my daughter to play tabletop role-playing games. I enjoy learning by myself (damn regulated education), and recently I have been playing with electronics and low-level programming. I prefer my books to be physical; I'm about to connect my library with the L-Space. Rock, punk, heavy, metal.
